After more than 25 years of teaching piano, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: no two students learn in quite the same way.

Some arrive inspired by Bach or Beethoven. Others by the Beatles, jazz, film scores, or video game music. Wherever that initial spark comes from, we use it as the starting point to discover the magical fabric of music.

My approach combines traditional piano fundamentals with creativity, technology, and a healthy dose of curiosity. Along the way, we explore rhythm, harmony, improvisation, ear training, and the fascinating connections between music, mathematics, neuroscience, and the world around us.

Lessons take place on a Boston grand piano, with custom-made audio recordings and videos, interactive exercises, and personalized arrangements. Students also receive lesson summaries, practice notes, and guidance on how to get the most out of our weekly sessions.

But beyond all the tools and techniques, my hope is something simpler: to help students develop confidence, independence, and a genuine love of making music.

Because learning an instrument isn’t simply about mastering a piece. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of by tapping into the superior intelligence of the body and developing your innate intuitive faculties through the language of music.
